The coil product is skin-passed, pickled in acid, washed and then oiled and is returned to its original form.
Sheet products can either be manufactured from Hot Rolled Pickled & Oiled (HRPO) coil, or from hot rolled material pickled & oiled in sheet form.
The treatment removes a level of mill scale which improves further manufacturing processes.
